The core objective of the conference was to present research outcomes and stimulate discussion in the science community, with a focus on the professional development of future generations in the field. <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><img alt="" src="https://africaninvertebrates.pensoft.net/files_upload/53/DSCF2612.JPG">The programme featured plenary lectures delivered by two internationally recognised researchers: <a href="https://www.nhm.at/nesrine_akkari">Dr. Nesrine Akkari</a>, Curator of the Myriapoda collection at the Naturhistorisches Museum, Wien, and <a href="https://scholar.google.hu/citations?hl=en&user=X2mztGoAAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate">Dr. Yuri Kantor</a>, Leading researcher at the A.N. Severtzov Institute of Ecology and Evolution, Moscow, Russian Federation.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">In support of the conference’s commitment to early career researchers, specific awards were designated for the best posters and presentations delivered by student presenters. Pensoft proudly sponsored the Best Early Career Researcher Presentation award, offering a free publication in one of the publisher’s open-access journal – a move emphasizing Pensoft's commitment to supporting emerging talent in the taxonomic sciences.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">The award was given to Bence Schlitt, affiliated with the <a href="https://biologia.elte.hu/">Biológia Intézet at ELTE TTK</a>.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">We extend our congratulations to Mr. Schlitt and look forward to publishing his contribution in one of Pensoft’s journals!</p> </div>" assertion.
